The Portal for the Philippine Water Supply and Sanitation Sector was launched last December 12, 2006, 10:00 am – 12:00pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
The event formalized the collaboration among agencies in the sector thru the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement led by the National Water Resources Board (NWRB), Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), National Anti-Poverty Commission-Water Supply and Sanitation Coordinating Office (NAPC-WASCO), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), Department of Health (DOH), National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ)-Water Program.
The Portal for the Watsan sector is intended to facilitate efficient and effective coordination and cooperation in the sector where relevant agencies and future collaborators can mutually exchange, use, and effortlessly make accessible valuable knowledge and information on water supply and sanitation.
