The working final draft (fourth in the series of major workshops) presented in the TWG Plenary Workshop is the result of several Secretariat and Expanded Secretariat meetings the most recent being the workshop held in June 25-26 at the Casa San Pablo in Laguna. The document under review is a result of a series of workshops starting in 2006. The workshop held in January 2007 enabled a collaborative scanning of the environment and the enabling and constraining factors that affect the water supply sector. In this workshop, the participants agreed on the principles that will govern the formulation of the Roadmap, which are adopted from the Dublin Principles. A strategic plan was formulated which became the basis for the succeeding workshops. Several Technical Working Groups were organized in May to draft the medium term plans based on the three goals adopted form the Subic workshop. The TWGs reviewed the draft and presented their comments and suggestions during the plenary.
The Secretariat was tasked to refine the Working Final Draft based on the outputs of this workshop to be presented to the 2nd Inter-Agency Steering Committee scheduled on July 26. The Working Final Draft will be made available in the e-groups website. All suggestion for revision should provide the proposed revised text. Data requirements for the write-up of the Roadmap will be requested by the lead agencies from the TWGs.
