In the last Inter-Agency Steering Committee Meeting, NEDA Assistant Director General Ruben S. Reinoso, recommended collaboration with the sanitation sector to be led by the Department of Health to integrate wastewater management in the Roadmap. The IASC expresses that there is already a growing concern on wastewater that is consequently generated by the municipal water supply sector and the serious problems associated with the lack of appropriate collection, treatment and disposal.

In this one-day workshop, the group reviewed the 2010 Medium Term Plan for the Philippines Water Supply Sector and integrated strategies and development outcomes for the management of wastewater.
