The Expanded Secretariat finalized a fourth working draft of the medium term water supply sector plan for presentation to the TWGs in a plenary session. The current draft subjected to refinement has been a product of several consultations, including a validation workshop in October 2006, multi-stakeholder strategic planning in February 2007 (Subic), Technical Working Group workshops in March (Congress) and May (NWRB). A TWG Plenary Workshop was agreed to be conducted on July 19, Thursday to present the draft to the TWGs for adoption and approval for presentation to the IASC.

The participants for the two-day workshop are heads of the Roadmap Technical Working Groups:  NEDA, NWRB, DILG, NAPC, along with Technical Advisory Group for the Roadmap process: Corinne Canlas (process facilitator), Ed Quitoriano (lead writer), Cesar Yñiguez (sector specialist). Other members of the TAG include Antonio De Vera, institutional and capacity development specialist, and Cecilia Soriano, finance specialist.

Roadmap is strategic planning in the long term but the current phase of the planning is identifying activities for the 3-year midterm.
