Strategic Collaborative Planning Workshop for the
Water Supply Sector Roadmap
Year 2007 is a very promising year for the Water Supply Sector Roadmap Project. Taking off from the successful implementation of the first phase activities in 2006, the second phase of the WSS Roadmap Project hopes to establish the sector roadmap through collaborative efforts of the different stakeholders from the national government agencies, league of cities and provinces and other non-government organizations.
As its first activity, the WSS Roadmap team will hold a 3-day Strategic Collaborative Planning Workshop at Subic International Hotel from January 31 to February 2, 2007. The objectives of the three-day planning workshop are:

To prepare and agree on the main elements of a Water Supply Sector Roadmap (Strategies and Actions, Program Components);
●
To form technical working groups and agree on the main task for each program component; and
●
To come-up with an implementing plan and 2007 calendar of activities to achieve effective coordination in the water supply sector.
The WSS Roadmap project is lead by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and National Water Resources Board (NWRB) with technical assistance from the Water and Sanitation Program of GTZ.
