The DILG-GTZ Water and Sanitation Program towards an Integrated Water Resources Management is in its fourth and final phase of implementation. The program aims to strengthen the institutional framework and improve the personnel capacities of the national partner agencies and selected local government units in the areas of integrated water resources & wastewater management and appropriate sanitation systems.

The overall program consists of intervention areas on the national (macro) level and components on the provincial (meso) and municipal (micro) level. Partners of cooperation for the fourth phase implementation is composed of the DILG (main partner), NWRB and NAPC at the national level, provincial governments of Oriental Negros and Bohol at the provincial level and Bayawan City in Oriental Negros at the municipal level. Close collaboration with educational institutions and non-government organizations is also being established.
